Tree Planting
March 31, 2008
Planted 40 Silver Birch and 10 Japanese Maples along the top boundary and 40 Liquidambars along the east/south boundary. They all got a handful of organic fertilizer. The ground was teaming with worms. Lovely chocolate soil everywhere. Put a Pin Oak on the north/west boundary near the entrance.
Got some trees for my birthday (thankyou Sharon) a snow pear (Pyrus nivalis), a crepe myrtle - white flowering (Lagerstoemia Natchez), and some japanese maples, They’ve been planted on the north/western boundary near the garden shed. Also a cherry blossom (Prunus Shirotae ‘Mt. Fuji’) as a centrepiece above the garden shed.

I mowed the top boundary area and the east/south boundary area before we planted. I also measured out and mowed the two round top paddocks ready to fence.
